The Askary Awards is being awarded to young photographers every year since 1991. Many of these young photographers went on to win more and more awards and won many honors. But for many of them, the first success came through Askary and Askary Committee is proud of being able to identify the talent while still young.

Askary Awards for 2022 was participated by 38 young photo artists from Karnataka. The eminent jury selected the portfolios of Mr. Shravan BM, Mangalore and that of Mr. Vivek Gowda, Mangalore for the Askary Awards for 2022. The Askary Awards were presented in a function held at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath on August 20, 2022.
