among Youth of Karnataka

 

The ASKARY Awards website provides information on the annual Askary Awards instituted in 1997 to encourage photographic talent among young photographers in Karnataka State, India. It also provides insights into photography aspects and recalls memories of photographers who have rendered great service to the art of photography in Karnataka State.

The Askary Awards are awarded every year to encourage the youth and promote the art of photography. Photographers below the age of 35 years from the State of Karnataka, India are eligible to apply for the awards.

Your portfolio submitted for the Askary Awards will be judged by a panel of Jury with rich experience. Rest Assured that your pictures will get all the attention required. Participate with the best of your pictures.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Applicants from KARNATAKA STATE with domicile ONLY are eligible to participate in this contest.
  2. Applicants are invited to submit a set of 4 images.
  3. It is not essential for the set of 4 images to be thematic and cohesive in content. Each image will be judged on its merit.
  4. It can either be monochrome only, color only or a mix of monochrome and color images.
  5. It can be horizontal (portrait) format or vertical (landscape) format.
  6. Each image will be given an individual score by the jury.
  7. The total score of the 4 images submitted will contribute towards the final awards.
  8. The applicants with the two highest scores (Total of 4 images) will be awarded the Askary Awards.
  9. Picture size requirements:
    • The Maximum Size for the longer side is 1920 pixels.
    • The Minimum Size for the longer side is 1080 pixels.
    Note: Any picture less than above mentioned dimensions will be rejected.
  10. Please read all Contest Rules / Terms and Conditions before submitting your pictures.
  11. If your photo is shortlisted, digital photo with a minimum size of 12 inches x 18 inches need to be sent by email before the announcement of results. Before uploading your pictures in this contest, please ensure that this requirement is met.

Simple Steps to Participate

Register your details if you are participating in the contest for the first time.

Substituting an Uploaded Picture - If you want to change any picture already submitted, click on Register, use the sendlink option on the page. You will received the link on your registered email ID. Click on the Link received on your registered wamil and replace the picture that you want to substitute. This will remove that picture from your list and you will be allowed to upload another picture.
